Runescape Guide to the Defense Skill

Runescape, the free MMORPG game online. Examine how defense in Runescape works and a way to leveling defense in Runescape. Also, find out about other Runescape skills.
Another one of Runescape’s ample skills is the skill of Defense, which this Runescape guide wukk explain. It is one of the combat skills most important aspects, with it lessening the amount of hits that the enemy will be able to place upon you. It is with the skill of Defense that you will be able to wear bigger and better armor throughout your stay in Runescape. Defense is put into the attacking categories of Stab, Crush, Magic, and Range.

Defense in Runescape
When a player opens up the Character Armor option, seen by the body icon on the tray of the Runescape screen, you’ll see “Equipment Stats”. Clicking this will show the character and their equipped items, their attack bonus, their defense bonus, and other bonuses the character has. The words “Equip your character” will be there, the total weight that you are carrying too. The heavier you are, the slower you are going to move and the less agility you are going to be having.

Defense Bonus Stats
Under the “Attack bonus” section and before the “Other bonuses” section, you’re going to see the Defense bonus. This is in six categories; Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic, Range, Prayer, and Summoning. These are all different areas that RS weapons can do damage.

?Summoning Defense – Decreases the chance that Summoning familiars will hit you.
?Prayer Defense – The more you have the decrease in speed of your prayer draining.
?Range Defense – Keeps arrows and darts from hindering you more often.
?Magic Defense – Protection against dragon breath and magical attacks.
?Crush Defense – Protection from maces and punches, and other blunt attacks.
?Slash Defense – Protection from claws and swords, and other slashing attacks.
?Stab Defense – Protection from daggers and spears, and other stabbing attacks.
Defense Armor
There are several different types of armor that the player can wear to boost their Defense in the game. There is a varying range of styles and heaviness, of course the heavier the armor the more protection and less speed the player will have. This is going to be up to the player and the style of game play that they use (mages won’t be using heavy armor for instance).
Top Gold Mining Locations in Runescape

Runescape for a variety of reasons. Rather than spend tons of money buying gold from other players, you can mine the ore yourself at these locations. This will save you a lot of gp and, as an extra benefit, give you some valuable Mining experience.
The Grand Tree Mine

If you've completed the Grand Tree quest, the Grand Tree mine can be a very lucrative place to obtain gold ore. Here, there are four gold rocks along with several other rocks containing ores such as silver, mithril, adamantite, and coal. Often, you'll be the only miner in the area so you won't have to worry about competing for the ores. Also, there's a bank fairly close by on the second level of the Grand Tree so you can dash to drop off your inventory and return to the mine without wasting much time at all.

For those that have also completed the Tree Gnome Village quest, it's easy to teleport to this area using the Spirit Tree. This is particularly nice if you want to mine for awhile and then go sell your gold ore on the Grand Exchange or smelt it into gold bars at the furnace in Edgeville.

Crafting Guild
If you have a Crafting level of at least 40, you'll be able to access the gold rocks in the Crafting Guild. On top of having the proper Crafting level, you'll also need to be wearing a brown apron to get in the guild. The mine is located in the eastern part of the guild and has seven gold rocks along with rocks containing silver and clay.

The Crafting Guild mine is accessible by all players, both F2P and members. One drawback to this location is that it is a fairly good distance away from the nearest bank in Falador so you may want to take advantage of certain teleport devices, such as the Skills Necklace, to speed up your mining and inventory-to-bank runs. Also, this location can be quite crowded at times, especially on F2P worlds.

TzHaar City Mine
Despite the fact that the TzHaar City mine only has three gold rocks, it's still an excellent place to mine for gold ore because of the limited mining competition and the closeness of the mine to both a bank and a furnace.

This mine also contains three silver rocks, so you can augment your gold mining a bit to help pass the time while waiting for the ore to respawn. Or, if you have the proper molds and gems, you can smelt the ore into bars at the furnace and then craft some jewelry.

Also, this mine is extremely close to the gold rock area near the entrance of the Karamja Volcano, which has four additional gold rocks. So, you can easily dash back and forth between the two locations, having access to seven gold rocks total. The Karamja Volcano Mine area is accessible by all players, but TzHaar City is a members-only area.

Other Gold Mines
There are several other gold rock locations in Runescape, but many of them require the completion of advanced quests or are inconvenient for other reasons. F2P players may want to check out the Al-Kharid mine, the Rimmington mine, or the Dwarven mine, each of which has two gold rocks. There are also four gold rocks on the northeast beach of Crandor.

If you're a member, you may want to head to the north-western mine in Brimhaven, which has 10 gold rocks, or the Arzinian mine, which has an astounding 146 gold rocks. This latter mine is only available to those who have completed the Between a Rock... quest, though, so you might have to put in some questing time if you want access to this mining location.

Mining is very important, as ore pretty much fuels the game. If there was no mining, then there would be a much less diverse variety of weapons and armour available, making the game pretty dull.

That's why it's important to get your mining skill up.

As a Runescape online player , sometimes you may need runescape gold or runescape power leveling. If you have no time to earn rs gold and level up your character, you can buy it from our website .The price is low.If you believe us, we will try our best to help you .

The Runescape Range Training Guide

Runescape Range training guide to get you 99 Range fast and easy. Learn how to train Range either the cheap way with Pest Control, or the expensive way with Red Chinchompas. Either way you choose, you are bound to get 99 Range very easily.
Introduction to Range Training
In Runescape, there are many people who think of the Range skill as either a waste of time and money or as a useless skill. Then, there are those other people who think the skill is one of the most useful and powerful ones in the game. Everyone has their own feelings towards the Range skill, but anyone and everyone can use Range in some way. Range can be used for mini-games, slaying monsters for rare drops, going to house parties to attack friends in combat rings, and even its most popular use – pking in Bounty Hunter or PVP worlds. However, it's the monotony of training the skill that really turns people away from even training the skill above level 70-80.

So, in order to let every Runescape player see that Range isn't all that bad to train and can be one of the most useable skills to have level 99 in, here is a guide to help you train to 99 Range. This guide will break down levels 1 to 99 in increments and show you where and how to train to 99 Range, quick and easy.

99 Range Emote Pictures

Level 1-15
What to Wear

Since you are just getting started, you won’t really be able to wear and wield any special types of armor, bows, or arrows. Just grab a standard bow and an Oak bow, iron and steel arrows, and some hard leather armor. If you are a member, you can grab some spined gloves and boots, with an Archer’s helmet, if you have 45 defense and have completed Fremennik Trails. The reason you need a standard bow, Oak bow, and both iron and steel arrows, is because at level 5 you can switch from standard and iron arrows, to an Oak bow with steel arrows. It just saves you a trip to the bank if you wish to keep training and get the most Range experience as possible.

Where to Train

When you start out at level 1, you have to start slow. You are going to want to train on Hobgoblins until you reach around level 15. There are two recommended spots to train on Hobgoblins. The first spot is near Lumbridge, right across the bridge that leads towards the gate to get into Al Kharid. Once you cross that bridge, take a left and there will be Hobgoblins all around the walking path and in the hut to the left of the walking path. The second spot for hobgoblins is west of Varrock and southwest of the Grand Exchange. If you head west out of Varrock, walk along the path and before you cross the bridge entering into Barbarian Village, take a right and there will be Hobgoblins for you to train on.

Keep reading onto page 2 to learn how to train Range levels 16-70 by runescape powerleveling!

Level 16-50
What to Wear

For Levels 16-50, follow the guide of what you can wear after you achieve each level, until you reach 50. Once you reach 28, you can finally use a Bone Crossbow with Bone bolts (if you are a member). These crossbow and bolts are very cheap and hit hard as well. You can use these from here on out until 99, if you decide to do Pest Control. If you decide to use Red Chinchompas, you can at least use these up to level 70+, depending on when you start using Red Chinchompas. However, we will get into those levels on the next page. Armor for training these levels is up to you. Look at the guide by clicking on the Range skill, in your stats section, and pick out stuff based on what level you are in Range. You don't need to worry about defense bonuses for training these levels, because you will be hiding behind a wall to train to 50.

Where to Train

My favorite place for great Range experience, and also Magic experience for lower levels, is under the hut at level 28 Hill Giants, located west of Varrock, southwest of the Great Exchange, and north of the Hobgoblins. You need a brass key to get in the hut, but you can buy one at the Great Exchange for around 160 gp. Once in the hut, go down the ladder. When you get down in the tunnels, head south all the way until you hit a wall of bones. There is a spot where you can hide behind the bones and attack the Hill Giants, without them even hitting you! You can, if you wish, collect the drops. They often drop Limpwroots, which if collected from level 16-50, could make you some good cash.

Level 50-70
What to Wear

Now that you are level 50+, you should be wearing either blue, red, or black dragonhide armor, based on what level you are. You should still be using the Bone Crossbow and Bone bolts, and you can decide to wear any other type of gear for defense bonus or range attack bonus. You don't have to worry about dying, since the best way to train these levels is at Pest Control.

Where to Train

For these levels, I would say the best way to train is at Pest Control. Although you might hit low and get slow experience while actually playing the game, you will get fast experience from the points you earn. Use all your points for range experience and it shouldn't take you too long to level up. You will get faster experience than you would just training on monsters, as long as you get into a good world where the boats are winning. Another reason this is a good place to train once you hit 50 is because you can't die and lose your items! Plus... you earn runescape gold every time you win! Could you ask for anything more?!?!

To get to the Pest Control Minigame, head to Port Sarim located south of Falador. Go to the Squire and take the boat to their outpost. It costs nothing and you'll end up on the island where Pest Control is located. Once you get there, there will be 3 different boats, pick the boat based upon your combat level and start killing monsters! Make sure to get at least 50 hitpoints of damage off the monsters, or else they say that you haven't proven yourself worthy of points and money. Collect points and turn them in 100 at a time. Doing this will get you more experience than turning one or ten points at a time.

Go on forward to page 3 in order to learn two ways on how to get from level 70 to 99 Range!

Level 70-99 : Pest Control
What to Wear

To train at Pest Control past 70, you really should get the full Void Range set up, which includes the gloves, top, bottom, and the Void Ranger Helmet. You can obtain these by turning in points you earn playing Pest Control to a Void Knight. Total, you will need to obtain 850 points to get the full setup. You can keep using the Bone Crossbow and Bone bolts if you have been using them; however, like said before, if you have 55 Slayer, you can choose to use Broad Tipped Arrows, which is highly recommended as they deal tons of damage! If you are serious about getting 99 Range fast, you should get Broad Tipped Arrows, as Bone items will hit less.

Just keep playing Pest Control all the way to 99 Range. You might want to join a Pest Control clan so you can always find good worlds. Just log into a Pest Control marked world and you should see people advertising many different clans for many different leveled players. If you don't get into a Pest Control clan, it might be hard for you to get 99 Range with Pest Control, because often the best worlds that win every single time are not the worlds marked as "Pest Control Worlds" by Runescape. Clans will often times go to a non-marked world to get away from lower level players. That is why, if you can get into a PC clan, you can ensure 99 Range to come fast by getting into those secret winning worlds!

Level 70-99 : Red Chinchompas
For this, you are definitly going to want full Range Void armor, and every piece of armor that will give you Range attack bonus. Some items recommended are the Ava's Accumulator, Amulet of Fury, Ranger boots, and Archers ring. Of course these are not mandatory; however, you will be spending tons of money getting 99 Range with Red Chinchompas, so you will need all the bonuses you can get to get the highest hits possible, resulting in the most experience earned per Chinchompa possible.

In your inventory, make sure to have a couple of food items, one teleport tab to Varrock, and the rest should be Prayer Potions. I usually take about three Monkfish and 24 Prayer Potions for each trip. Each trip you can use about 2-3k Red Chinchompas. The number of Red Chinchompas needed is different for everyone; however, you can plan on spending 25-30 million gp if you start from 70 and go to 99!

Head over to page 4 to learn where the best Red Chinchompa training spot is and how to train with them.

25-30 Million GP!!!
I bet the question you are thinking right now is: "Why would anyone want to spend that kind of gp to get 99 Range?!?!"

Well, if you were to do it the pest control way, you could probably get 99 Range in a couple of weeks. With Red Chindhompas, you can cut that time into a couple of days! I, of course being impatient, did it this way. I went from 70 Range, all the way to 99 in only 2 days! Yes, I spent 29 Million runescape money, but it only took me eight days of Dragon Impling hunting to get that 29 million gp. Ten days of work is nothing compared to 21-30 days of work at Pest Control!

Red Chinchompa Training Spot
To train with Red Chinchompas, head to Ape Atoll island where you will train on Skeletons. Once on Ape Atoll, head to the southern part of the island, near the center of the woods. You should find a ladder leading into the ground. Go down the ladder and you will enter a winding tunnel. Go through the tunnel until you come to a U-shaped corner with skeletons walking around. Here is where you will train. You will want to have Protect from Melee on at all times, and drink a sip of prayer potion every time your prayer gets low. Run around, without getting hurt by the spikes in the floor, while killing the skeletons. More and more skeletons will appear, until you have around 20-30 around you.

Once you have that many, head over and sit underneath an overhanging piece of rock so you don't get hurt by the falling rocks. Just keep throwing Red Chinchompas at the middle of all the skeletons, and you will attack many at one time. If you are doing it correctly, you should be getting around 150 to 500 exp for each Red Chinchompa thrown. Once you are out of supplies, teleport to a bank, gather more supplies, and head back for another trip. It shouldn't be long at all before you have that nice green cape on your back, with the orange trim if you already have another 99 skill.

Thanks for reading. Good luck getting 99 Range!

Best Places to Mine Silver Ore in Runescape

Runescape? Silver can be a pretty hot commodity, especially in the free worlds. Not only can you use it to help train Smithing and Crafting, but you can also sell it for a decent profit. Here's a list of a few top silver mining locations.
Dorgeshuun Mine
For members who have competed the Lost Tribe quest, the Dorgeshuun mine is an excellent place to obtain silver ore. There are 12 silver rocks in this locale in addition to nine other rocks that contain iron ore. By using the option to follow the goblins in and out of the tunnels, you can have quick access to a bank – the Culinaromancer's chest just outside the tunnel entrance. This assumes you've gotten at least part way through the Recipe for Disaster quest. Another option is to use the bank on the top level of Lumbridge Castle.

If you're not that concerned with profit and are just there to obtain Mining experience, you can sell the ore you mine to Mistag without ever leaving the tunnel. This may be a good option for those who are only mining in the hopes of obtaining gems, but still want to make a little profit from the silver ore.

Crafting Guild
The mine found in the Crafting Guild is open to all players, both free-to-play (F2P) and members. However, in order to gain entrance to the guild, you will need to wear a brown apron and have a Crafting level of at least 40. There are six silver rocks here along with rocks containing gold and clay.

The closest bank (in walking distance) to the Crafting Guild is a fair jog away in Falador. That can make running your freshly mined gold ore a bit of a pain, but you can combat this disadvantage by using certain teleport items like the Skills necklace to make this trip a little easier.

Al-Kharid Mine
Another popular silver mining location is the mine north of Al-Kharid. There is quite a variety of ore-bearing rocks (coal, mithril, gold, adamantite, etc.) in this location including five silver rocks. Players with a very low combat level may get a bit annoyed here because of the aggressive scorpions that inhabit the mine. But, if you have a combat level of 29 or higher, the scorpions won't bother you at all.

The nearest banks to this mine are in Al-Kharid and Varrock, with the Al-Kharid location being slightly closer. Also, there is a furnace in Al-Kharid so you can smelt your silver ore before banking it, if that is in your plans.

Other Silver Mining Locations
There are a few other silver mines in the Runescape world, including the Grand Tree mine. This mine is only accessible if you have completed the Grand Tree quest, but it is usually fairly empty and has four silver ore-bearing rocks.

Also, silver ore can be found in the rocks of the Edgeville Dungeon and in the mine just southwest of Varrock. The Varrock mine can become quite populated at times, though, because of its easy acessibility, so there may be some competition over its three silver rocks. Still, it's not a bad place to begin your silver mining, especially if you have a low combat level and are looking for a reasonably safe place to gather materials.

Mining for ores and smelting them to bars to smith weapons and armor is a great way to make cash. But that's only if you've been doing it for a while. For new players, you will have to be patient and level up to make lots of cash. Ok, some mining spots for beginners: the mining spot near Varrok, the mining spot behind Lumbridge, and the mining spot in Falador (Dwarven Mines). I prefer the Varrok spot because it isn't overwhelming with people, there are lots of people usually, but not as much as the people in the spot near Lumbridge and there is a low risk of getting attacked by scorpions there.

When you start mining in either spot, start mining like 100 copper ore and bank them. After you do this, start mining an equal number of tin ore to the number of copper ore that you mined. Once this is all done, head down to Al Karid, and smelt the ores using the furnace. NOTE: Click the furnace and right click on the bronze bar (brown) and click on select x and type in any number above 30. After this, bank the bars in the Al Karid bank and continue smelting the ores. Once you have smelted all your ores, head up to Varrok and go to the building near the large bank with an anvil on it. I believe that if you talk to the old man there, he will provide you with a hammer. Once you have turned the bars into items, sell them at the general store up until you cannot get the maximum amount of cash for each item.

Then, change worlds or go to another general store and sell all of your wares. Repeat this process until you can make iron bars or mine iron. This is the hard part: You have a choice to make; you can either sell the iron ore or make them into bars and risk losing tons of iron. If you're really excited to make runescape gold, then you should definitely sell the iron ore for around 100gp ea. People will buy, but if you don't get a lot of customers, go to Falador and sell them there. Eventually, by repeating this process, you can get up to 100k by selling 1000 ores. Don't worry, that goal sounds daunting but if you put your mind to it, you'll get there.

Here are some ways to do it in Runescape without restorting to the services of gold sellers.
There are many paths to glory in the popular free mmorpg Runescape. One of them is by acquiring as much gold as a character possibly can to acquire the best loot, a nice house, and other status items that would be more impressive if the pixels on the screen could be translated into the real world.

Even Runescape players who are not concerned about their status need gold. New weapons need to be bought, items need to be replaced, and sometimes a character needs food or just to spend some time at a local bar. The problem for the average character then becomes how to get runescape gold.

The author does not approve of many gold guides on general principles, but occasionally a player must know legitimate ways to get gold that do not involve exchanging real currency for currency that can be used only in a game such as the kind offered by Runescape gold sellers. This Runescape gold guid will not make the player who follows it rich, but it will help the character acquire gold when he needs it for quest, trade skills, or other purposes.

Using Trade Skills to get Gold in Runescape
Trade skills are not always implemented to gain money, but a few in Runescape are good money makers. Fishing can provide a small amount of income to the determined player, but the best options for making gold in Runescape are woodcutting, farming, and monster slaying, which is not the same thing as killing monster. Below is a short list of useful and profitable trade skills or subsets of the crafting skill.

Thieving
Jewelry Crafting
Farming
Monster Slaying
Other Ways to Get Runescape Gold
Trade skills are one way ensure a character has a steady flow of income in Jagex's popular free mmorpg. One Gold guide recommends going into the sewers of northern ladder until the player find a latter. The method used is to kill the bear, if it still attacks a character, and then pick up the two piles of gold that keep appearing in the room.

The more standard role playing tradition of killing monsters for loot is the way most players earn Runescape gold. As such, there will be certain spawns that drop valuable loot and the process that has become known as farming items for cash comes into play. Farming involves going after a certain monster or series of monsters until a desired item drops. If it is fairly a common and item, the process is repeated and the player makes money by making a lot of sales.

The structure of Runescape makes farming a little less likely, but in the above example with the bear, it is possible if the player knows which mobs to seek. Getting gold legitimately can be a time consuming process, and is worth it when a character really needs to get an item or just finds the shininess of runescape gold appealing.

It works best for rangers and mages, but it is good for warriors too.
To start off this is the method I used once i started Runescape after 5 years of playing World of Warcraft. I got ot lvl 60+ on two character both memebers in less than a week, and i play a lot. So here it is

Cows

best place that most people are aware of is south of Falador. Check your map if your new to the game. It is north west of Lumbridge by a lot. There is a farm South-East of the city gate where they are a lot of cows. It it a closer to the bank and has less people.

I would kill these cow until you got either 40 defense, 40 attack, 40 strength or 40 range, or 40 maguc because by then you can almost oen shot them and it one if not fastest ways to level because you don;t ever have to leave because you can cook yout own food. TO get there you need to go to edgeville and south of it there a dugoen entrance and go there until u find hill gaints. It like a 3 minute walk. Before you find the gaints there a circular room with a brass key. Get the key for a shortcut. Best way to get to this palce is from varrock. North-west of varrock there shed that you cannot get into unless you have a brass key.

I would kill these guy until you have either 50 or 60 and even possible but rarly 70 in your desired stats. I would say 60.

The Guide to Ernest the Chicken Quest

runescape account . Warning; contains spoilers.
Ernest the Chicken quest can be frustrating. Here is a comprehensive, easy to follow guide to doing Ernest the Chicken Quest. Ernest the Chicken Quest involves solving three puzzling situations to obtain RuneScape items. The most frustrating puzzle is an underground RuneScape maze that involves solving a difficult order of lock combinations. Here is the guide for Ernest the Chicken quest.

Ernest the Chicken Quest Guide; Summary of Ernest the Chicken Quest:

In Ernest the chicken quest, the RuneScape character Veronica is disturbed because her fiancé vanished. Appearently, he got lost in Draynor Manor. Your job in Ernest the Chicken Quest is to rescue him.

Ernest the Chicken quest is a medium length RuneScape quest and requires no RuneScape skill except dodging a level 22 skeleton. The RuneScape items you need for Ernest the Chicken Quest are spade, poison, fish food, rubber tube, and oilcan. These items are inside Draynor Manor and can be picked up during the Ernest the chicken quest.

Ernest the Chicken Quest Guide; Starting the Ernest the Chicken Quest:

Start Ernest the chicken quest by talking with Veronica. Veronica is found at the Draynor manor gate, on the southern end of the estate. When you talk to Veronica, Veronica will express concern over her missing fiancé. Tell Veronica you will help find him.

Head up the path and enter the main door. Although you cannot exit by this entrance, you can enter and exit at through a side door on the east. Head up two staircases. There you will see Professor Oddenstein. When you talk to him, you will need to ask about Ernest the chicken. The long and short of it is that Ernest the chicken needs to be turned back into a man and you need to find a rubber tube, an oilcan, and a pressure gauge that were stolen from the professor’s machine.

Ernest the Chicken Quest Guide; Obtaining the Rubber Tube:

It doesn’t matter which item in the Ernest the Chicken quest you obtain first. So in this guide, I will start with the rubber tube. The rubber tube is in a locked room with a level 22 skeleton, and you need to find the key. Head to the east end of the first floor (where the red dots are) and take the spade. Exit through the door and go to the west side of the estate. There is a compost pile between the farming patches. Search the compost and uncover the key. Backtrack inside to the room by the stairs. Open the door, grab the rubber tube, and leave.

Ernest the Chicken Quest Guide; Obtaining the Oilcan:

Now lets get the oilcan. This part of the Ernest the chicken quest is easier with the new Runescape animations. It is a RuneScape maze with different levers that open or close different doors. The doors that are open look ajar with the new RuneScape animations, very helpful in doing the Ernest the chicken quest!

To get to this maze with these doors, you need to get to the basement. Go to the southwest corner of Draynor manor; the room with the ladder is walled off. You will need to search a bookcase on the west wall of the adjacent room in order to enter this room.

Start by pulling levers A and B, in the main room. There are two doors on the north side of this room; go through the door on the right side. In this room are levers C and D. Pull only lever D, then exit the left door of the west wall. Enter the main room again through the south door and pull levers A and B again.

Exit back through the left door on the northern wall. Open the west door to enter the adjacent room, and exit through the north door to reach more levers. Pull levers E and F. Go through two east doors to return to the room that contains levers C and D. This time, pull only lever C and then return to the room containing levers E and F through the same doors, now west side doors. Pull lever E, then exit through the east door. Open and pass through two south side doors to return to the main room. Open the west door to enter the room and take the oilcan. Exit the room, climb the ladder, and pull the lever on the wall to open the bookcase.

Ernest the Chicken Quest Guide, Obtaining the Pressure Gauge to complete Ernest the Chicken Quest:

Now you need to obtain the pressure gauge. In a small room east of the basement entrance is a bottle of poison. Take the poison, then head upstairs. You will see a red dot on the minimap south of the staircase; take the fish food there and use the poison with it. Then exit the mansion and head to the southwest corner of the estate where you will find a fountain with vicious fish. Feed the fish in the fountain with the poisoned food. When the fish are dead, search the fountain to obtain the pressure gauge. Complete the Ernest the chicken quest by giving the three items to the professor. The professor turns Ernest the chicken back into a human.

Ernest the Chicken Quest Guide; Quest Spoilers:

Here are the spoilers of the Ernest the Chicken quest. The Ernest the chicken quest gives you 300 pieces of Runescape gold and four RuneScape quest points. Because you need 33 RuneScape quest points to enter the Champion’s guild and start Dragon Slayer, it’s advantageous to do Ernest the Chicken quest to obtain the four quest points.

How people get addicted to Runescape

Runescape, what happens to them and what someone will do once they become addicted to Runescape to play Runescape.
Some people get addicted to Runescape, then will do anything to level up their runescape accounts. This is how the process goes: You start playing Runescape and its really fun, your a level 3 or 4 and you have pretty bad levels but your having fun, which is what the game is about.

But then comes the greed. You see players with shiny amour and lots of runescape gold, with levels way higher than you. And you suddenly want to get all that cool stuff! So you go and spend hours on end each day mining to or woodcutting to get that sort of money.

After days and days you earn your first 10k, and your so happy! You go to the grand exchange and buy expensive amour only to find you can't wear it at level 3. So you go to the cow paddock and start the long haul of training to get your combat level up.

After a while it gets boring, but you have found out all the cool stuff members can do, so you go and beg your parents to get membership, they may disagree but you keep trying and trying until you get it somehow.

The Second Stage - Membership
Membership is so great! You can pickpocket, you have double the map, you can go into members worlds, you can have 200 people on your friends list, its all fun again. For about three to five months, then your back to slaving away mining or woodcutting, trying to make two pennies to rub together to buy all the cool members stuff.

Thats how Jagex reel you in, the sole purpose of the free world is so you get a bite of it, then you find out what members is like, so you buy it. Then your hooked! A good way to not get addicted is this: if your not having fun playing, then stop playing.

Then, before they know it they will do anything to level up their runescape accounts. And doing to manually is both boring and time consuming. So quite a lot of people may download a macron to get their levels up for them. Though this puts the account in danger as Jagex can detect any macron so your account can be banned forever!

The other option for fast leveling up is to pay a power leveling site to do it for you. This can cost up to hundreds of dollars but some addicted people will pay the price for a high leveled account.

The Truth Behind Power Leveling Services
Power Leveling is where you pay someone to power leveling your account, getting its levels up fast. But its not the people who own the power leveling websites that are training up your account, its done in sweatshops in China! (As well as other overseas places)

So, instead of making plastic junk for the first world countries they level up people's runescape accounts, which is much worse. Its a game and its meant to be ENJOYED by people, not played by someone in China for 2￠ an hour!

The reason that people in Chinese sweatshops do the power leveling is because its very cheap. The people that own these power leveling websites don't want to spend 14 hours a day on Runescape so the cheap and easy option is Chinese labour.

I chatted online with a staff member of a power leveling site and they said that they don't do the runescape power leveling and its done overseas. (There a some other articles on the internet that say the same thing as this)

So Runescape can be fun if you don't let yourself be taken over by it. Remember, if your not enjoying it: Stop playing it!

How to Make Bows and Arrows in Runescape

Runescape, but one with a lot of possibilities. It can boost the power of many ranged weapons when used to make ammunition.
It is easy to make a ranged based Runescape character, but to get the full benefit from the combat options using the bow and arrows, darts, or crossbows in Runescape, a character must learn how to make his own ammunition and bows.

There is more to the bow than just firing it at the enemy in Runescape. The following guide will take the player through the basics of what he needs to know about the fletching skill. All skills in Runescape follow a simple pattern of using the skill to gain experience and gaining levels in the skill after a certain experience threshold has been reached.

Like many of the skills in runescape account, a characters gains experience by using it. Higher fletching skill allows a character to make better bows and arrows. Woodcutting and smithing complement this trade skill nicely.

Making Arrow Shafts in Runescape
The process for making arrow shafts and bows is similar. To start making arrows or a bow, a Runescape characters needs logs to cut into shafts or the bow staff. Once he takes a knife to the log that will become a shaft, he must apply arrows to the shaft to earn fletching experience. Using higher quality wood results in better quality ammunition. Darts can be made through a similar process, but a player must complete a quest called The Tourist Trap.

Crossbow bolts cannot be made using the fletching skill, but a player can use the fletching skill to apply tips to the ends of bolts that increase the damage he can deal with a crossbow.

Using Fletching to Make Bows
The process character used to make a bow differs from the one to make arrows because instead of attaching feathers, the player must attach a bow string. A character mus use flax to create a bowstring. The arrow creation process gives a character fletching experience as soon as the arrow as completed, but experience is gained in two steps when fletching is used to make a bow. You gain experience from making bows in two parts. The first half is received when the bow is made and the second is made when the string is attached.

You will need to make the string however. This is done by spinning flax that can be found south of the Seers' Village, according to the Global Runescape powerleveling website. The higher the quality of the wood used to make a bow and arrow, the higher quality the end product will be.

The progression of bows and the total experience gained from crafting each can be found below.

Bows in Runescape Can be Used to Gain Magic Experience
Fletching can be used to make bows and arrows, but a Runescape character can also magic experience from used bows if he knows the procedure.
Runescape as it is in other fantasy settings
The mage look in an mmorpg is not complete without a staff and a pointy hat. Runescape characters have easy access to pointed hats, but have an advantage if they can make an elmental battlestaff using the crafting trade skill.

A Runescape character can buy the pointy hat, but a true player and one who believes in having a well-rounded character for role-playing reasons should craft his staff. Just remember to follow the advice of Discworld author Terry Pratchett and make sure to put a knob on the end of any staff made using the crafting skill.

Materials Needed for Elemental and Mystic Staff Crafting in Runescape
Free members are out of luck if they want to craft a stylish staff on their own.
