| Runescape, the free MMORPG game online. Examine how defense in Runescape works and a way to leveling defense in Runescape. Also, find out about other Runescape skills. Another one of Runescape’s ample skills is the skill of Defense, which this Runescape guide wukk explain. It is one of the combat skills most important aspects, with it lessening the amount of hits that the enemy will be able to place upon you. It is with the skill of Defense that you will be able to wear bigger and better armor throughout your stay in Runescape. Defense is put into the attacking categories of Stab, Crush, Magic, and Range.
Defense in Runescape When a player opens up the Character Armor option, seen by the body icon on the tray of the Runescape screen, you’ll see “Equipment Stats”. Clicking this will show the character and their equipped items, their attack bonus, their defense bonus, and other bonuses the character has. The words “Equip your character” will be there, the total weight that you are carrying too. The heavier you are, the slower you are going to move and the less agility you are going to be having.
Defense Bonus Stats Under the “Attack bonus” section and before the “Other bonuses” section, you’re going to see the Defense bonus. This is in six categories; Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic, Range, Prayer, and Summoning. These are all different areas that RS weapons can do damage.
?Summoning Defense – Decreases the chance that Summoning familiars will hit you. ?Prayer Defense – The more you have the decrease in speed of your prayer draining. ?Range Defense – Keeps arrows and darts from hindering you more often. ?Magic Defense – Protection against dragon breath and magical attacks. ?Crush Defense – Protection from maces and punches, and other blunt attacks. ?Slash Defense – Protection from claws and swords, and other slashing attacks. ?Stab Defense – Protection from daggers and spears, and other stabbing attacks. Defense Armor There are several different types of armor that the player can wear to boost their Defense in the game. There is a varying range of styles and heaviness, of course the heavier the armor the more protection and less speed the player will have. This is going to be up to the player and the style of game play that they use (mages won’t be using heavy armor for instance). Finding a good balance of armor or make more runescape gold to buy them that gives the player perks with the armor that will give the player the best defense is always preferred.
Extra Defense Items There are other ways to increase the defense of a player, which is through prayers and potions that can be created through the herblore skill.
Potions, which help the Runescape defense skill, include the defense potion (+3-12%) and the super defense potion (+5-19%).
Prayers that can help defense include: thick skin (+5%), rock skin (+10%), steel skin (+15%), piety (+25%), chivalry (+20%), protect from magic prayer, protect from summoning, protect from missiles, and the protect from melee prayer.
These are just some of the many variations of how the skill of Defense in runescape account is used and helped. |

| Runescape for a variety of reasons. Rather than spend tons of money buying gold from other players, you can mine the ore yourself at these locations. This will save you a lot of gp and, as an extra benefit, give you some valuable Mining experience. The Grand Tree Mine
If you've completed the Grand Tree quest, the Grand Tree mine can be a very lucrative place to obtain gold ore. Here, there are four gold rocks along with several other rocks containing ores such as silver, mithril, adamantite, and coal. Often, you'll be the only miner in the area so you won't have to worry about competing for the ores. Also, there's a bank fairly close by on the second level of the Grand Tree so you can dash to drop off your inventory and return to the mine without wasting much time at all.
For those that have also completed the Tree Gnome Village quest, it's easy to teleport to this area using the Spirit Tree. This is particularly nice if you want to mine for awhile and then go sell your gold ore on the Grand Exchange or smelt it into gold bars at the furnace in Edgeville.
Crafting Guild If you have a Crafting level of at least 40, you'll be able to access the gold rocks in the Crafting Guild. On top of having the proper Crafting level, you'll also need to be wearing a brown apron to get in the guild. The mine is located in the eastern part of the guild and has seven gold rocks along with rocks containing silver and clay.
The Crafting Guild mine is accessible by all players, both F2P and members. One drawback to this location is that it is a fairly good distance away from the nearest bank in Falador so you may want to take advantage of certain teleport devices, such as the Skills Necklace, to speed up your mining and inventory-to-bank runs. Also, this location can be quite crowded at times, especially on F2P worlds.
TzHaar City Mine Despite the fact that the TzHaar City mine only has three gold rocks, it's still an excellent place to mine for gold ore because of the limited mining competition and the closeness of the mine to both a bank and a furnace.
This mine also contains three silver rocks, so you can augment your gold mining a bit to help pass the time while waiting for the ore to respawn. Or, if you have the proper molds and gems, you can smelt the ore into bars at the furnace and then craft some jewelry.
Also, this mine is extremely close to the gold rock area near the entrance of the Karamja Volcano, which has four additional gold rocks. So, you can easily dash back and forth between the two locations, having access to seven gold rocks total. The Karamja Volcano Mine area is accessible by all players, but TzHaar City is a members-only area.
Other Gold Mines There are several other gold rock locations in Runescape, but many of them require the completion of advanced quests or are inconvenient for other reasons. F2P players may want to check out the Al-Kharid mine, the Rimmington mine, or the Dwarven mine, each of which has two gold rocks. There are also four gold rocks on the northeast beach of Crandor.
If you're a member, you may want to head to the north-western mine in Brimhaven, which has 10 gold rocks, or the Arzinian mine, which has an astounding 146 gold rocks. This latter mine is only available to those who have completed the Between a Rock... quest, though, so you might have to put in some questing time if you want access to this mining location.
Mining is very important, as ore pretty much fuels the game. If there was no mining, then there would be a much less diverse variety of weapons and armour available, making the game pretty dull.
That's why it's important to get your mining skill up.
As a Runescape online player , sometimes you may need runescape gold or runescape power leveling. If you have no time to earn rs gold and level up your character, you can buy it from our website .The price is low.If you believe us, we will try our best to help you . |

| Runescape Range training guide to get you 99 Range fast and easy. Learn how to train Range either the cheap way with Pest Control, or the expensive way with Red Chinchompas. Either way you choose, you are bound to get 99 Range very easily. Introduction to Range Training In Runescape, there are many people who think of the Range skill as either a waste of time and money or as a useless skill. Then, there are those other people who think the skill is one of the most useful and powerful ones in the game. Everyone has their own feelings towards the Range skill, but anyone and everyone can use Range in some way. Range can be used for mini-games, slaying monsters for rare drops, going to house parties to attack friends in combat rings, and even its most popular use – pking in Bounty Hunter or PVP worlds. However, it's the monotony of training the skill that really turns people away from even training the skill above level 70-80.
So, in order to let every Runescape player see that Range isn't all that bad to train and can be one of the most useable skills to have level 99 in, here is a guide to help you train to 99 Range. This guide will break down levels 1 to 99 in increments and show you where and how to train to 99 Range, quick and easy.
99 Range Emote Pictures
Level 1-15 What to Wear
Since you are just getting started, you won’t really be able to wear and wield any special types of armor, bows, or arrows. Just grab a standard bow and an Oak bow, iron and steel arrows, and some hard leather armor. If you are a member, you can grab some spined gloves and boots, with an Archer’s helmet, if you have 45 defense and have completed Fremennik Trails. The reason you need a standard bow, Oak bow, and both iron and steel arrows, is because at level 5 you can switch from standard and iron arrows, to an Oak bow with steel arrows. It just saves you a trip to the bank if you wish to keep training and get the most Range experience as possible.
Where to Train
When you start out at level 1, you have to start slow. You are going to want to train on Hobgoblins until you reach around level 15. There are two recommended spots to train on Hobgoblins. The first spot is near Lumbridge, right across the bridge that leads towards the gate to get into Al Kharid. Once you cross that bridge, take a left and there will be Hobgoblins all around the walking path and in the hut to the left of the walking path. The second spot for hobgoblins is west of Varrock and southwest of the Grand Exchange. If you head west out of Varrock, walk along the path and before you cross the bridge entering into Barbarian Village, take a right and there will be Hobgoblins for you to train on.
Keep reading onto page 2 to learn how to train Range levels 16-70 by runescape powerleveling!
Level 16-50 What to Wear
For Levels 16-50, follow the guide of what you can wear after you achieve each level, until you reach 50. Once you reach 28, you can finally use a Bone Crossbow with Bone bolts (if you are a member). These crossbow and bolts are very cheap and hit hard as well. You can use these from here on out until 99, if you decide to do Pest Control. If you decide to use Red Chinchompas, you can at least use these up to level 70+, depending on when you start using Red Chinchompas. However, we will get into those levels on the next page. Armor for training these levels is up to you. Look at the guide by clicking on the Range skill, in your stats section, and pick out stuff based on what level you are in Range. You don't need to worry about defense bonuses for training these levels, because you will be hiding behind a wall to train to 50.
Where to Train
My favorite place for great Range experience, and also Magic experience for lower levels, is under the hut at level 28 Hill Giants, located west of Varrock, southwest of the Great Exchange, and north of the Hobgoblins. You need a brass key to get in the hut, but you can buy one at the Great Exchange for around 160 gp. Once in the hut, go down the ladder. When you get down in the tunnels, head south all the way until you hit a wall of bones. There is a spot where you can hide behind the bones and attack the Hill Giants, without them even hitting you! You can, if you wish, collect the drops. They often drop Limpwroots, which if collected from level 16-50, could make you some good cash.
Level 50-70 What to Wear
Now that you are level 50+, you should be wearing either blue, red, or black dragonhide armor, based on what level you are. You should still be using the Bone Crossbow and Bone bolts, and you can decide to wear any other type of gear for defense bonus or range attack bonus. You don't have to worry about dying, since the best way to train these levels is at Pest Control.
Where to Train
For these levels, I would say the best way to train is at Pest Control. Although you might hit low and get slow experience while actually playing the game, you will get fast experience from the points you earn. Use all your points for range experience and it shouldn't take you too long to level up. You will get faster experience than you would just training on monsters, as long as you get into a good world where the boats are winning. Another reason this is a good place to train once you hit 50 is because you can't die and lose your items! Plus... you earn runescape gold every time you win! Could you ask for anything more?!?!
To get to the Pest Control Minigame, head to Port Sarim located south of Falador. Go to the Squire and take the boat to their outpost. It costs nothing and you'll end up on the island where Pest Control is located. Once you get there, there will be 3 different boats, pick the boat based upon your combat level and start killing monsters! Make sure to get at least 50 hitpoints of damage off the monsters, or else they say that you haven't proven yourself worthy of points and money. Collect points and turn them in 100 at a time. Doing this will get you more experience than turning one or ten points at a time.
Go on forward to page 3 in order to learn two ways on how to get from level 70 to 99 Range!
Level 70-99 : Pest Control What to Wear
To train at Pest Control past 70, you really should get the full Void Range set up, which includes the gloves, top, bottom, and the Void Ranger Helmet. You can obtain these by turning in points you earn playing Pest Control to a Void Knight. Total, you will need to obtain 850 points to get the full setup. You can keep using the Bone Crossbow and Bone bolts if you have been using them; however, like said before, if you have 55 Slayer, you can choose to use Broad Tipped Arrows, which is highly recommended as they deal tons of damage! If you are serious about getting 99 Range fast, you should get Broad Tipped Arrows, as Bone items will hit less.
Just keep playing Pest Control all the way to 99 Range. You might want to join a Pest Control clan so you can always find good worlds. Just log into a Pest Control marked world and you should see people advertising many different clans for many different leveled players. If you don't get into a Pest Control clan, it might be hard for you to get 99 Range with Pest Control, because often the best worlds that win every single time are not the worlds marked as "Pest Control Worlds" by Runescape. Clans will often times go to a non-marked world to get away from lower level players. That is why, if you can get into a PC clan, you can ensure 99 Range to come fast by getting into those secret winning worlds!
Level 70-99 : Red Chinchompas For this, you are definitly going to want full Range Void armor, and every piece of armor that will give you Range attack bonus. Some items recommended are the Ava's Accumulator, Amulet of Fury, Ranger boots, and Archers ring. Of course these are not mandatory; however, you will be spending tons of money getting 99 Range with Red Chinchompas, so you will need all the bonuses you can get to get the highest hits possible, resulting in the most experience earned per Chinchompa possible.
In your inventory, make sure to have a couple of food items, one teleport tab to Varrock, and the rest should be Prayer Potions. I usually take about three Monkfish and 24 Prayer Potions for each trip. Each trip you can use about 2-3k Red Chinchompas. The number of Red Chinchompas needed is different for everyone; however, you can plan on spending 25-30 million gp if you start from 70 and go to 99!
Head over to page 4 to learn where the best Red Chinchompa training spot is and how to train with them.
25-30 Million GP!!! I bet the question you are thinking right now is: "Why would anyone want to spend that kind of gp to get 99 Range?!?!"
Well, if you were to do it the pest control way, you could probably get 99 Range in a couple of weeks. With Red Chindhompas, you can cut that time into a couple of days! I, of course being impatient, did it this way. I went from 70 Range, all the way to 99 in only 2 days! Yes, I spent 29 Million runescape money, but it only took me eight days of Dragon Impling hunting to get that 29 million gp. Ten days of work is nothing compared to 21-30 days of work at Pest Control!
Red Chinchompa Training Spot To train with Red Chinchompas, head to Ape Atoll island where you will train on Skeletons. Once on Ape Atoll, head to the southern part of the island, near the center of the woods. You should find a ladder leading into the ground. Go down the ladder and you will enter a winding tunnel. Go through the tunnel until you come to a U-shaped corner with skeletons walking around. Here is where you will train. You will want to have Protect from Melee on at all times, and drink a sip of prayer potion every time your prayer gets low. Run around, without getting hurt by the spikes in the floor, while killing the skeletons. More and more skeletons will appear, until you have around 20-30 around you.
Once you have that many, head over and sit underneath an overhanging piece of rock so you don't get hurt by the falling rocks. Just keep throwing Red Chinchompas at the middle of all the skeletons, and you will attack many at one time. If you are doing it correctly, you should be getting around 150 to 500 exp for each Red Chinchompa thrown. Once you are out of supplies, teleport to a bank, gather more supplies, and head back for another trip. It shouldn't be long at all before you have that nice green cape on your back, with the orange trim if you already have another 99 skill.
Thanks for reading. Good luck getting 99 Range! |

| Runescape? Silver can be a pretty hot commodity, especially in the free worlds. Not only can you use it to help train Smithing and Crafting, but you can also sell it for a decent profit. Here's a list of a few top silver mining locations. Dorgeshuun Mine For members who have competed the Lost Tribe quest, the Dorgeshuun mine is an excellent place to obtain silver ore. There are 12 silver rocks in this locale in addition to nine other rocks that contain iron ore. By using the option to follow the goblins in and out of the tunnels, you can have quick access to a bank – the Culinaromancer's chest just outside the tunnel entrance. This assumes you've gotten at least part way through the Recipe for Disaster quest. Another option is to use the bank on the top level of Lumbridge Castle.
If you're not that concerned with profit and are just there to obtain Mining experience, you can sell the ore you mine to Mistag without ever leaving the tunnel. This may be a good option for those who are only mining in the hopes of obtaining gems, but still want to make a little profit from the silver ore.
Crafting Guild The mine found in the Crafting Guild is open to all players, both free-to-play (F2P) and members. However, in order to gain entrance to the guild, you will need to wear a brown apron and have a Crafting level of at least 40. There are six silver rocks here along with rocks containing gold and clay.
The closest bank (in walking distance) to the Crafting Guild is a fair jog away in Falador. That can make running your freshly mined gold ore a bit of a pain, but you can combat this disadvantage by using certain teleport items like the Skills necklace to make this trip a little easier.
Al-Kharid Mine Another popular silver mining location is the mine north of Al-Kharid. There is quite a variety of ore-bearing rocks (coal, mithril, gold, adamantite, etc.) in this location including five silver rocks. Players with a very low combat level may get a bit annoyed here because of the aggressive scorpions that inhabit the mine. But, if you have a combat level of 29 or higher, the scorpions won't bother you at all.
The nearest banks to this mine are in Al-Kharid and Varrock, with the Al-Kharid location being slightly closer. Also, there is a furnace in Al-Kharid so you can smelt your silver ore before banking it, if that is in your plans.
Other Silver Mining Locations There are a few other silver mines in the Runescape world, including the Grand Tree mine. This mine is only accessible if you have completed the Grand Tree quest, but it is usually fairly empty and has four silver ore-bearing rocks.
Also, silver ore can be found in the rocks of the Edgeville Dungeon and in the mine just southwest of Varrock. The Varrock mine can become quite populated at times, though, because of its easy acessibility, so there may be some competition over its three silver rocks. Still, it's not a bad place to begin your silver mining, especially if you have a low combat level and are looking for a reasonably safe place to gather materials.
Mining for ores and smelting them to bars to smith weapons and armor is a great way to make cash. But that's only if you've been doing it for a while. For new players, you will have to be patient and level up to make lots of cash. Ok, some mining spots for beginners: the mining spot near Varrok, the mining spot behind Lumbridge, and the mining spot in Falador (Dwarven Mines). I prefer the Varrok spot because it isn't overwhelming with people, there are lots of people usually, but not as much as the people in the spot near Lumbridge and there is a low risk of getting attacked by scorpions there.
When you start mining in either spot, start mining like 100 copper ore and bank them. After you do this, start mining an equal number of tin ore to the number of copper ore that you mined. Once this is all done, head down to Al Karid, and smelt the ores using the furnace. NOTE: Click the furnace and right click on the bronze bar (brown) and click on select x and type in any number above 30. After this, bank the bars in the Al Karid bank and continue smelting the ores. Once you have smelted all your ores, head up to Varrok and go to the building near the large bank with an anvil on it. I believe that if you talk to the old man there, he will provide you with a hammer. Once you have turned the bars into items, sell them at the general store up until you cannot get the maximum amount of cash for each item.
Then, change worlds or go to another general store and sell all of your wares. Repeat this process until you can make iron bars or mine iron. This is the hard part: You have a choice to make; you can either sell the iron ore or make them into bars and risk losing tons of iron. If you're really excited to make runescape gold, then you should definitely sell the iron ore for around 100gp ea. People will buy, but if you don't get a lot of customers, go to Falador and sell them there. Eventually, by repeating this process, you can get up to 100k by selling 1000 ores. Don't worry, that goal sounds daunting but if you put your mind to it, you'll get there. |

| Runescape. Characters can use it to buff and heal as they adventure in the world. Prayer in Runescape serves the same role that clerical or priestly magic does in other games. It serves to heal and buff the Runescape character. Prayer is used for both buffing and healing in the game, but it is one of the hardest skills to raise. Merely using a power from the prayer list does not give a Runescape character prayer experience.
Most skills in Runescape have a fairly straight forward process of leveling up which involves using them. Using a spell from the prayer list will not cause the skill to go up. Instead, a player must find and bury bones in order to gain experience. It is often a painstakingly slow process.
Raising Runescape Prayer Experience Using a spell form the prayer list is not enough to cause a player's experience in the skill to go up. Insated, a Runescape character must bury bones found on the monsters that he kills. The bones that yield the most prayer experience can only be used by Runescape members, but this restriction only means that the free members can still level up their prayer skill level more slowly. A free player who wants to raise his prayer skill should find and bury big bones or sell them to make runescape gold, which give 15 experience points when buried.
Getting New Prayers in Runescape As a Runescape characters level in prayer increases, new buff spells become available that can help a character out as he journeys through the game world. Spells on the prayer list can be used as long as the character has the necessary skill points and level to use them. If a character runs out of skill points, he must return to an altar and pray to recharge his prayer points.
Prayer in Runescape is one of the most frustrating skills to level, but it is the second most powerful skill set in the game. Because there are no limits to the number of skills a Runescape cahracter can learn, there is no reason not to pursue any skill that makes a character's life easier.
Patience and diligence are required to raise this skill more so than any other skill in runescape account. If a character puts the effort, he will eventually reap the rewards of channeling divine energy. People with less patience may want to try mastering other trade skills in such as smithing , cooking , or fishing . A different skill is used for offensive spells. |

| Runescape. The right wood to cut, tools to use, and logs to sell or save to maximise your profits and training. Woodcutting is one of the most popular skills in RuneScape, being, at the time of this writing, the highest among non-combat skills on the minimum hiscore requirement, currently needing level 61 to crack the top two million. Woodcutting allows players to make a decent amount of RuneScape gold, or gives the RuneScape player the resources to train firemaking or fletching if a member. This article will focus on training F2P woodcutting.
RuneScape Level 1-15 F2P Woodcutting Training: Normal Trees: RuneScape players need to chop down 96 regular trees (they chopped one already on Tutorial Island) to get to level 15 Woodcutting. The best place to train is in Varrock along or south of the Grand Exchange. The bronze hatchet can be used but for 28 RuneScape gold an iron hatchet can be bought on the Grand Exchange. Fill an inventory of logs and sell on the grand exchange. The inventory of logs puts you over level 6 in woodcutting, allowing you to use a steel hatchet. Steel hatchets sell for 10 RuneScape gold, obtainable by selling 3-4 normal logs. Fill two more full inventories of logs and start on your third. You should hit level 15 halfway through that inventory. 96 logs earn you between 2500-4000 runescape gold. Burning 60 of those logs puts you at level 15 firemaking.
RuneScape Level 15-30 F2P Woodcutting Training: Oak Trees: Cut Oak Trees. Good locations include a tree west of the East Falador bank, east of the East Varrock bank, west of the East Varrock bank, west of the west Varrock bank, and east of the Draynor bank that is the closest but sometimes used by other players. RuneScape players can use a mithril hatchet at level 21 woodcutting. Mithril hatchets can be bought on the grand exchange for 235 RuneScape gold. Players need to chop 292 Oak Logs to hit level 30 woodcutting. The logs will net the player between 7,000-10,000 RuneScape gold. Burning 183 of the logs puts you at level 30 firemaking.
RuneScape Level 30-60 F2P Woodcutting Training: Willow Trees: There is no market for willow logs; some players have managed to sell the logs by leaving them on the grand exchange for a couple weeks. At 18 RuneScape gold each, willow logs are not a good source of income. Firemaking is the recommended use for willow logs, although banking the willow logs for training fletching is also recommended should the F2P RuneScape player plan on becoming a member. There is one willow tree by the Edgeville bank and a grove by the Draynor Village bank.
Player competition in Draynor makes it difficult to level fast, however the grove of willows by the Port Sarim spirit tree patch and the willows by the lake west of Farmer Fred’s have good firemaking areas nearby. It is possible to light a line of 44 straight fires if you chop the willows on the south side of the pond, then run east until you hit the fence to the sheep. There should be the fence of the onion patch to your north and the sheep on your east. Take one step south from the corner and start your fire line. You will run out of logs at the willow tree you started at. F2P RuneScape players need to chop 3,858 willow logs to hit level 60. Burning the logs will get you well into level 62 firemaking.
An Adamant hatchet can be bought on the grand exchange for around 700 RuneScape gold and can be used at level 31 woodcutting. It is recommended to buy a Rune hatchet for level 41 woodcutting. Rune hatchets sell on the grand exchange for between 7.5-8.5K runescape money.
RuneScape Level 30-60 F2P Woodcutting Training: Oak Trees: Should you decide to stick with oak for the cash, you will make more RuneScape gold but the experience will come slower. Once level 30 firemaking is attained, Oak should not be burnt, as willow is a faster and cheaper alternative. To get from level 30-60 using oak, 6,944 logs need to be chopped. The logs will net you between 173k and 243k RuneScape gold.
RuneScape Level 60+ F2P Woodcutting Training: RuneScape players can cut yew logs now but the logs come slow for players under level 80 in woodcutting. Yew trees are one of the best ways to make runescape gold in F2P so most yew trees are usually crowded. Willow remains the fastest method to train while yew is slow experience while making good RuneScape gold. Although players can usually expect to make around 50k-75k an hour chopping yew, an empty world, high woodcutting level, or inflated yew log prices can allow for greater earning potential. |

Runescape Items you will need: -Patience (Fishing isn't one of the fastest skills in the game) -1 Crayfish Cage -1 Fishing Rod -250 Fishing Bait -1 Fly Fishing Rod -10k Feathers to start off (If you have more buy them. I suggest not to buy more than 10k Feathers at a time incase you change your mind) Hurry along to the Grand Exchange and purchase these items. Once that is sorted out bank ALL of your items except for the Crayfish Cage, your 250 units of fishing bait and your 1 Fishing Rod. Once you have those 3 Items in your inventory, Head down to Lumbridge.
Levels 1-5/10
Since the update of the new Tutorial, Crayfish have been introduced. These fish are in fact faster than Shrimp. So head down to the Crayfish fishing location here:
Method: 1-Click the spot 2-Wait for your inventory to get full (Don't worry about the fishing rod and bait taking up extra space) 3-When your inventory is full a. Run to the general store b. Sell your fish c. Start running back to the spot d. Drop the gold from the fish along the way back to the spot 4. Repeat the steps above as needed. You may leave this spot at level 5, but I strongly recommend staying here until level 10.
Note: Level 1-10 should take no more than a few minutes.
Levels 5/10-20~ That wasn't so hard now was it? Now that you reached level 10 Fishing (or 5) you can start Ocean Bait Fishing. Start running to Draynor to the Bait fishing spot. Drop your Crayfish Cage along the way. The location is here:
Method: 1. Right click the fishing spot 2. Select "Bait-Fishing Spot" 3. Wait until your inventory is full 4. When your inventory is full a. Run to Draynor Bank b. Deposit your fish c. Run back to the fishing spot 5. Repeat steps 1-5
You can fish here until level 20 or until all your bait is finished. I suggest staying here until no more than level 22. Leaving to the next location at level 20 is fine.
F2P Levels 20-99
Unfortunately I'm only am going to give one method for free players level 20 or higher in Fishing. The reason for this is because making runescape money by fishing for F2P players is a huge waste of time. If your F2P and need money, go cut yews. However, free players that wish to gain fast fishing xp can try this method.
If you haven't already, bank your items from Draynor and withdraw 1 Fly Fishing Rod and around 10k feathers. (Don't withdraw more than 10k incase you die). Head to the Barbarian Village Fly Fishing Spot here:
Method: 1. Hop to World 1 2. Fish a load of Fish 3. When you are full a. You may walk north b. Bank at Edgeville c. Walk South d. Repeat steps 2-3 4. Or you can do the faster way and a. Start dropping your fish b. While Dropping type in free raws over and over c. Continue dropping d. If someone trades you give them as many fish as you can e. keep dropping if necessary f. Repeat steps 2 & 4
Alternate Method If you don't care about banking and don't like dropping try this. Go Here:
1. Fish at the lumbridge Fly Fishing spot 2. When you are full run to the general store following the route shown. 3. Sell your fish as quickly as you can 4. Run back to the fishing spot 5. Drop your gold on your way back if you wish 6. Repeat steps 1-6
Members: Levels 20-68/70/99 Requirements: Must have completed Shilo Village Quest
Head to shilo via Cart or Walking. The Fishing Spots can be in these locations:
Note: These spots change VERY frequently. Stick to the spots south closest to bank and by the bridge if you can.
Method: 1. Withdraw your Fly Fishing Rod and feathers 2. Go Fish (I figure you should know this by now) 3. Go Bank(look above) 4. Repeat 2-4
Shilo Tips 1. You will average 30-38k xp/hr here depending mainly on your fishing level. 2. If you run short on feathers buy some at the fishing shop. If you dont have money note your fish and sell to the fishing shop in Shilo. Buy back feathers. 3. World 22 is the Shilo Fishing Player made guild CC- "w22 fish"
Should I stay? Skillers are the only players that should stay here until level 99 to ensure fastest xp for your runescape account. If you are lazy with paying concentration stay here at Shilo Village until level 99. You do not want to try Barbarian Heavy Rod Fishing if you can't concentrate. If you are here for making money fish here until 68 or so. Then go fish monks at Piscatoris Fishing Colony. (I will not go too in-depth with this but if you are here for efficient money fish monks as soon as you can for decent xp/money). If you think you can handle it and want the great fishing xp (40-55k xp/hr) along with pretty nice xp bonuses (1.1m str and agility xp from lvl 70-99 fishing and 1.5m cooking xp from lvl 70-99 fishing) then read on for the Barbarian Heavy Rod guide.
Levels 70-99 BARB FISHING FTW!
This is overall my favorite form of fishing. You will receive excellent fishing xp (40k/hr at lvl 70, 55k/hr at lvl 99) and decent strength, agility and cooking xp! You never need to bank. You can get lvl 70-99 with just 25 feathers!
BEFORE YOU START: You must have these stats or bax falls will be a waste of time 70 Fishing 45 Strength 45 Agility Don't ask why you need these stats. You need them and thats that.
First, rub your games necklace to Barbarian outpost and go here(bring 1 knife and 25 feathers to begin):
If you don't already have a Barbarian Rod talk to Otto and ask about fishing. He will then tell you to look under his bed. Get the rod and go fish.
Your inventory should look like this at first:
After you fish a load it should look like this:
Organize your fish in a similar way. This will help speed up the cutting process. (Note: the only thing you have to worry about organizing is the last 2 rows. and the fish on top of the knife)
Now you will have to be self-sufficient and make your own bait. Cut the fish up! =) To do so click the knife then click the fish under it. Repeat this as fast as you can . Do the same for the fish on the top. Now move the knife to the left 1 slot and cut the fish under there. Drop your offcuts (you may fish with offcuts if you are low on bait. otherwise just drop and get more runescape gold)
Continue to fish in this matter. |

| runescape gold . It's not the most fun thing to do, but I find it the most effective. Once you can get to a decent level you can easily make over 100,000 gold per hour. But I'll save the money making talk for the money making guides. As a free member, your money making abilities are fairly limited. You can still make very decent cash with runecrafting, but not quite as much as if you were a member.
As a free member you can only craft up to body runes. If I was only a free member, then I would only bother to craft air runes, they fetch a decent amount and they are the most commonly used in attack spells.
Runecrafting is great for newbies and veterans alike, because of the money making potential and because you don't need and skills to get started. Just a pick axe at first and some patience.
Runecrafting is such a slow skill to raise in Runescape. It is quite the runescape money maker but it takes forever to get it higher. As with most skills, it's possible to do it extremely quickly though.
First you need to get 50 runecrafting the old fashioned way. There are some tricks you can do like have multiple people bring you essences and you just stand at an altar but that was made more complicated by the trade limit. You can still do it if you have a ton of cash on you and pay people for every trip and tip them slightly so it's worth their time.
Another technique to level your runecrafting skill quickly before 50 is to use a ring of dueling. This shortcut was a slight oversight by the makers of Runescape. Go to the duel arena with it and then run to the extremely close fire altar and make your runes then use the ring again to teleport to castle wars, which lands you about 8 steps from the bank chest. You can dump the runes and get more essences there than teleport back to the duel arena and repeat the process over and over.
Once you finally do get to 50, you can do the biggest shortcut ever. Go to the runecrafting guild which you can access via a purple portal on one of the upper floors of the wizard tower near Draynor. If there aren't many people there, you'll have to switch to the official Great Orb Project server. Once there's a enough people, you can join a game. Hopefully your team will win but either way, you'll get some tokens at the end. If you're lucky enough to have some of the other team members quit or disconnect or if they just plain suck, you'll end up with A LOT of tokens.
Once you have a decent number of tokens (at least 1000) go talk to the wizard that trades them in for rewards. If you scroll down past the outfits and stuff, you'll see a tablets section (as seen in the attached screenshot). These tablets teleport you directly to the related runecrafting altar with virtually no walking required! Buy whatever tablets will either make you the most money per essence or get you the most experience, whichever your priority is. For example, medium level runecrafters can make 2x cosmic runes, making it much more of a runescape gold maker than nature runes
Once you've bought a lot of tablets, head to any bank and get some essences, pouches if you have them, the tiara for that altar, and a duel ring. Equip the ring so it doesn't take up one space. You can still use it by right clicking on it on your equipment screen and clicking operate. Use the tablet to teleport to the altar and make the runes then use the duel ring to go to castle wars, which has a bank chest extremely close. Then use another tablet and repeat the whole process. I made 2000 cosmics in around a half hour this way! I made over 10,000 air runes pretty quickly too. It really does work and it's a lot faster and less boring than normal runecrafting. You'll be a Runescape millionaire with a high runecrafting level in no time! |

| Runescape, In fact, it is a skill that is learned most easily by using it. Ranged and melee combat are easy enough to level for a Runescape player to learn. The Hunter skill while it may seem related is actually separate from the combat skills. It is however easier to learn and understand than some of the skills that will be used by every player.
The hunter trade skill is not one of the most useful trade skills in Runescape, but many of the furs that a character gains from this skill can be taken to the fancy dress shop in Varrock and made into useful equipment.
Types of Hunting Available to Runescape Players A player can take his weapons out to hunt monsters and gain experience in this skill, but it is not necessary. A character can also hunt using the methods of deadfalls, traps, falconry, butterfly nets, and tracking. A Runescape hunter character can find many types of creatures with each subset of the hunter skill.
Tracking is the simplest method a hunter can use to locate his prey in Runescape. The Global Runescape hunter lists animals that can be caught this way as a polar kebbit, common kebbit, fedlip weasel, desert devil, and the razor-backed kebbit. Bird hunting starts out in a similar manner to tracking, but a player purchase a bird snare before he can begin.
Traps and the Hunter Skill Runescape hunters can use a variety of traps to catch their quarry. Some traps require special equipment that can be made via crafting methods while others require a purchase from a vendor. Deadfall traps require a knife and a log, while net traps require a net. The more complicated forms of trapping require the character to set up a trap on a trap hot spot, and the most expensive type of trap is the magical imp box which a player can buy for 5 gold pieces.
How Hunters Use Falconry Before a Runescape character can catch his prey using a hawk, he must give 500 runescape money to a non-player character near the Piscatoris Fishing Colony to learn this subset of the hunter skill.. A character who decides to hunt using a falcon can not wear anything on his wrist while his bird is active. This is made up for by being one of the easiest hunting methods. A player who wishes catch a kebbit using or any other animal with falconry starts the process by clicking on the animal quarry he wants his hawk to bring back to him.
Catching Prey as a Hunter The techniques are simple and straight forward. Every time a Runescape character catches an animal he earns hunting experience and possibly as fur that can be turned into a useful items later. If the hunter catches prey using falconry, deadfalls, or pitfalls, each kills gives him a fur that can be used to turn into useful pieces of armor.
A determined Runescape player may wish for a more comprehensive guide on how to use the hunter skill to get runescape gold, but it actually is fairly straightforward and requires little explanation outside of the client. |

| Runescape guide on how to train mage without even being near the computer. First of all I have to say, that to do this you will need alot of time I'd suggest up to 5 hours. This training also means that you can leave your computer for the whole 5 hours and you don't even have to watch it( your character doesn't log out.
Ok getting started you need to be wielding full armour any of the following bronze, iron, steel, black, mithril, adamant or rune. You must not have any amulet equipped. Also you need a staff of what ever spell you are going to use. Then you must have green dragon hide vambraces. If you can't wield green dragon hide vambraces then you will have to spend more runescape gold on whatever spell you are going to use because you can't wield a staff. This is because you need a mage attack bonus of -65 or more like -70. If you can't wield green dragon hide vambraces then you can't have a staff on because it puts your mage attack down by 10 so if it was -65 without staff it would be -55 with staff.
Ok now that you have your armour and stuff figured out time to choose what magic attack to use, wind strike which gives 6 xp for missing, water strike which gives 7 xp for missing, earth strike which gives 9 xp for missing or fire strike which gives between 11 and 14 xp for missing. You can use more powerful mage attacks but it will cost more and i don't know how much xp they give you for missing.
Now go to lumbridge and attack a rat in the lumbridge grounds or spiders in the castle cellar. Ok now attack them you will notice that you will always miss. This is because your mage attack bonus is so low you don't hit. This is good because even when you miss you still get a certain amount of xp and also because you are always attacking the rat or spider you don't get logged out. I have just found out that you can not leave the computer and train this is against the rules. Rules state that you are not alowed to afk train. But you can do this as long as you do something on the computer ever 5mins say talk to someone or rotate the camera this will meaqn jagex know you are at the computer. Or if you were really smart put something on the camera angle keys so its constantly turning( thus you must be at the computer to be doing this right lol.)
Hope this guide is helpful I will now give you a equation to figure out how much xp u gain in how many hours of training you do.
20 mage attacks in a minute times 60 minutes in an hour, then times this by the number of hours you are going to train, then times this by the amount of xp gain by each magic attack, this will tell you how much xp you will gain overall.
20 times 60 times number of hours times xp per attack. |
