We are updating the statistics to allow a user to use any stats service. Users will be able to copy and paste html/javascript into the last part of every blogtext page.

The blog search is also being updated. Once these changes are live users will be able to use the new features.

Down time, Moving Data

In the last couple of days the database was increasingly taking on more and more load. In the mist of a database outage, we decided to move the data while it was down. Everything should be stable with a few errors here and there. We will clean that up.

As for user files and photo album images;

They are not lost. Images and files missing from your blog post or images missing from your photo albums are still in the process of moving. To move them securely they are being transmitted slower with encryption. Within a few hours of posting this message all user files and photo album images will be restored.

A nutshell. The database needed to be in a more stable environment. It is on a new server and things should be more responsive.

As you may have noticed, no google ads are being displayed. At the current time we are not sure of our Google Adsense status. Due to google's policies its hard to say what will happen and when.

It has been more than three years since Google disabled our account the first time.

After talking with google, they have agreed to turn the ads back on for blogtext.org. We expressed our dislike for spam and that we are strict when it comes to fake accounts phishing for information. In a reply from google, they understood what our point of view was and enabled our site to once again display adsense.

Google surprised us at BlogText with an email stating that they have suspended our domain, BogText.org, due to a gabling spam blog that was created. The problem is that google does not understand what BlogText is. Well, they know its not blogger.

Just like other blog providers BlogText allows its users to use their own adsense ID to earn money from visits to their blogs. The problem with google is that they don't understand what blogtext.org is. If you scroll down to the bottom of every blogtext page, it would seem to most that BlogText is a free blogging service. And at the bottom of every BlogText page is a link to report a user. Furthermore, we hate blog spammers and we hate casino gambling spam blogs even more. We do a lot to keep them removed from our system.

Googles email below:

Hello,

While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently displaying Google ads in a manner
that is not compliant with our policies. For instance, we found violations of AdSense policies on
pages such as
http://www.blogtext.org/liuhecaicaipaio.

As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on sites
with content related to gambling or casinos.

As a result, we have disabled ad serving to the site.

Your AdSense account remains active. However, we strongly suggest that you take the time to review
our program policies (
https://www.google.com/adsense/policies ) to ensure that all of your remaining
pages are in compliance.

Please note that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

By no means is google the leader in removing spamming accounts from their blogger system. Google could be named the kings of blog spam. Are they going to disable adsense ads on their blogging service blogger? Of course not.

Google took the time to visit the gambling blog on BlogText however they completely failed to understand that maybe blogtext was a blog service. In doing that they banned all of our users from using their adsense account at BlogText.org. This is completely unacceptable and makes us wonder who is in charge of disabling domains on adsense accounts.

We have emailed google asking them how they failed to realize that BlogText is a service and that we at BlogText are strict about spam blogs. There have been other users who signed up at BlogText to display gambling info, those accounts are removed when first noticed, along with other users who violate the terms of service.

Google this was evil. Do no evil?

The Index Content option allows users to create a block of text on the index of their blog. This ( http://www.blogtext.org/member/blogOptions.html) option can be useful to have an introduction to your blog or it can be used as a table of contents for your blog pages. You can view your blog options (http://www.blogtext.org/member/blogOptions.html).
