In the sermon today Pastor reminded us of the commitment we made (if you were baptized or confirmed Methodist anyway) by committing your prayers, presence, gifts, service and (a new one from General conference) your witness.  It brought me back to my baptism and confirmation which was in May of '88.  I took that commitment as seriously then as I do now.  Actually probably even more so now because I understand the level of devotion God desires.  I realized today that all of these are so important for the church because all of them are needed to build up the church.  Church isn't all about what I get out of it (imagine that, its not all about me lol) but its also about service.  I feel like I get a lot out of church though because I put a lot into it.
