Yes, I am going to get it together.

I like this thing that J.K. Rowling said that I've seen somewhere around the internet:
"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default." |

My friend sent me this today. I was telling her all about the challenges I've been facing in my creative business and hobby, all the expectations and things I wanted to happen in the future. And she gave me this, to remind me that there are so much more important things out there than just worrying and worrying. So yeah. Tonight I'm just going to chill. Design, draw, sing. Listen to music. Dance in my room. That kind of thing. |

Today I have a lot of projects lined up. Staying creative is never boring! I love this life that I have, because I get to do what I love. Sure, the consequences of my mistakes and bad decisions are mine and no one else's, but wow - the rewards, the things that happen when I do succeed? They're worth everything. So yes, today, I want to say: optimism is the key! |

I've done a lot of things this year that I never thought I'd do. And I am quite proud of it! I was always afraid to try, because I was afraid to fail. And because of that fear I never really got to do anything. I was hesitant to go out of my comfort zone, not knowing that life is pretty awesome on the other side. So I really, really tried to take the risk, and you know what? It was beautiful. |

Yup, you heard me right. Marilyn Monroe, in all her glamour, is one of my favorite sources of inspiration. She's got a good head on her shoulders if you ask me, and is very down to earth.

Here's what I love about what she said:
- No matter what, you're going to mess up, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up.
- Keep trying, hold on, and always, always always believe in yourself.
- Life's a beautiful thing.

I heard this on the radio today on the way to a meeting. It's an old Edison quote that I really like, and what I tell myself sometimes when I'm feeling really down:

Ira Glass is host and producer of the TV show, This American Life. He is pretty brilliant, and I've always admired him. Here are some wise words from him that might inspire you today:

Sometimes I find that my best work are borne out of mistakes. It comes after I have tried so many times to make something lovely, and then I finally arrive at it. Also, it's like going through a process of elimination - finding something that doesn't work so that you'll discover what does work, in the end.
Haha. I'm not sure if I am making sense entirely, so here:
