Yaeger CPA Review Course - My Personal Experience

The Yaeger CPA review course was not the first CPA review course I used. After using another study course, I failed three out of four sections of the CPA exam. The Yaeger website states that candidates who have revised using the Yaeger CPA review course have an average pass rate of 88% on the CPA exam. The founder, Dr. Phil Yaeger, has been preparing students for the exam since 1977. Dr. Yaeger and his team offers something that none of their competitors are currently offering: an "Instructors Hotline" (an 800 number) that people can phone to ask questions regarding the course material or about the CPA exam in general. Needless to say, I made frequent use of this service and even spoke to Dr. Yaeger himself on a number of occasions. The lecture videos are fairly engaging and are taught by qualified professors. The teacher would initially explain key concepts, and then take students through multiple choice questions and examples. A benefit of the Yaeger system is that more lesson time is devoted to materials that are more likely to show up on the exam. Also worth mentioning are Yaeger's cram DVDs which can add between 5 to 15 points to your exam scores. The emphasis really seems to be on highlighting areas you are weak at and adding self-belief and knowledge to improve them. Even candidates that are using another CPA review course can gain knowledge from these cram DVDs by using them for additional, last-minute study materials.

It means the course is pretty much current and you can be assured the material is still suitable.

Overall, I am ecstatic with the Yaeger CPA review course as guided me to success in the CPA exam. To read one of the few genuine Yaeger CPA review reviews, and to find out more about David Bryant and his experiences with CPA examination preparation please visit his CPA Exam Blog.
