I have gone through a lot of web sites during my tenure here in the world wide web. A lot have thankfully been useful, with a specific few that hasn't suited my needs. Some of the sites I've gone to require fees to access the features I need, or others are simply inadequate to what my needs are at the given time. I'll be the first to admit, that when it comes to the Internet, I usually try to look for the free alternative of things. I even had a phase when I subscribed to newsletters to keep my abreast of free stuff that I may find useful either for my web browsing experience, or to improve my system.
I came across this website which highlights and spreads the news of the various free stuff that you can get from the Internet. From free fonts, web space, to free software and even free internet [to some areas, at least], the website catalogs and lists down all the new websites that are worth taking a look at if you are looking for something free.
The website is called The Free Site and it is owned and created by Marc McDonald. From what I've read, he painstakingly browsed the depths of the web to provide everyone with free content and items that we might be interested in. He also accepts reader input in case he missed something that may be worth adding to the page.
I personally find it nice that someone takes the time to compile all the little freebies that the wide world of the Internet. It makes everything easier to find [for cheapskates like me ^_^ V ] and that many people benefit from the site itself.
If you find the site itself useful, you can go ahead and subscribe to the newsletter that the site also provides so that you'd be updated as to the latest and greatest freebies floating around. |
